WASHINGTON (AP) _ Odom's Tennessee Pride of Little Rock, Ark., is recalling 4,900 pounds of frozen sausage links distributed nationwide because they may be contaminated with plastic.
The products being recalled are 12-pound boxes of Alliant PRESTIGE Cooked Pork Sausage Skinless Links, the Agriculture Department's Food and Safety Inspection Service said Wednesday.
The sausage was produced on June 20, and each box has a production code of ''0206-1L 1171 14117A.'' The code ``EST. 6544A'' appears on the label inside the USDA inspection seal.
No injuries have been reported. Food safety officials suggested people ordering sausage links at restaurants ask if their meal contains the recalled product.
Consumers with questions can call Odom's Tennessee Pride at 1-615-868-1360.
