WASHINGTON (AP) _ An Indiana company is recalling 14,087 infant car seats that may not latch into the base securely and could put babies at risk of injury in a crash.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and manufacturer Peg Perego USA said they are not aware of any injuries related to the problem.
The seats were sold separately with a base as the Primo Viaggio infant seat or bundled with a stroller and sold as the Pliko Travel System or Primo Viaggio Travel System. The recalled seats were made from Feb. 1 to June 1.
Owners can inspect and repair the seats with instructions from Peg Perego of Fort Wayne, Ind., NHTSA said.
