(San Antonio) -- An Edmond golfer is among five players tied for the lead after the first round of stroke play at the U-S Amateur Public Links Championship.

Kyle Willmann of Edmond shot a one-under-par 70 yesterday at Pecan Valley Golf Club in San Antonio.

The 21-year-old Willmann plays at Texas Tech.

University of Oklahoma golfer Matt Cohn is among those tied for the lead.

After today's second round, the 156-player field will be cut to 64 for match play.
