NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ A fisherman on his way to the lake found the body of a young Norman man who had been missing for several days.
Corey Don Wade, 18, was found near the Little River Tuesday morning. It is believed he lost control of his motorcycle on an unpaved portion of NE 72nd Avenue, authorities said.
Wade was reported missing Sunday after he failed to return home from a weekend party in Oklahoma City, Norman Police Lt. Paul Swenson said. He left the party at midnight Friday, authorities said.
A preliminary investigation by police indicates Wade was driving motorcycle south on the road when he apparently lost control and was thrown from the vehicle.
The accident occurred on an unpaved portion of roadway that ends at Little River, and Swenson said it appears Wade's body went undiscovered for two to three days, as it was on a grassy, untraveled section of roadway.
On Monday, a fisherman found the body of missing Oklahoma City man in the Little River.
Edward Tony Bopp was discovered about 5 a.m. Monday. He had been missing for two days.
Park rangers and lake patrol officers had been searching the brush and river for Bopp, 22, after he was reported missing Saturday afternoon.
According to reports, Bopp had attended a party on Little River with about 15 other people and had last been seen wading alone in the river.
He was reported missing at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, about 12 hours after the party had ended.
