A warning about a man posing as a stripper, who police say is sexually assaulting Tulsa women. KOTV's Sean Mossman says the man's running a very slick con game.
His crimes were fairly tame at first, but he's growing increasingly more violent. "We let him in. I sat down here. Nicole sat there and he just stood right there." Amanda remembers the night a man posing as a male stripper got a little too personal with her and her aunt. She says the guy showed up at her door two weeks ago and said he was sent as a strip-o-gram by a friend. Knowing her aunt had a birthday in a week, the women thought it was a fun gag. "He took all of his clothes off and he had on a g-string and he tried to take that off but he didn't. He was trying to get us to touch him, but we wouldn't do that so he didn't take nothing else off." The two women immediately knew something was wrong and said that several men who lived there would be home soon. That's when they say the guy left without harming the women.
Unfortunately, he's continued his sexual assaults. "He'll expose himself to them. He'll talk dirty to them and just recently, it's escalated into a rape." Just this week, police say the fake stripper raped a woman in her east Tulsa apartment. Tulsa Police now want to get the word out to watch for a man described as about six feet tall, 280 pounds with sandy blonde hair, wire-rim glasses and two deep wound scars on his right leg. They say he doesn't discriminate about what type of woman he'll target. He works in different areas of town, east Tulsa, mid-town and even near downtown.
He's grown more violent of late, and police say they want anyone who's ever come into contact with their suspect to come forward, before someone else is victimized. There are certain procedures a legitimate strip-o-gram service will follow. They'll always come to their job with the person who hired them. They'll always have a job sheet with the company logo and name of the recipient. They should never do a dance one-on-one, they are always supposed to have a small crowd. Police say this man does none of these things.
