NEW YORK (AP) _ Model Kim Porter has asked a court to declare that Sean ``Puffy'' Combs is the father of her youngest child and to award her more child support than he currently pays.
Porter, 30, says that although Combs, 31, admits paternity of Christian Casey Combs, 3, she wants Manhattan Family Court to formally declare that the rap mogul is the father and give her as much child support as allowed by law. This means 17 percent of Combs' adjusted gross income, plus money for medical expenses, a live-in nanny, after-school programs, summer camp, tutors, sports programs and private-school tuition and expenses.
Porter's lawyer, Suzanne Kimberly Bracker, said Monday that the lawsuit was filed in Family Court last week and that the papers speak for themselves.
Combs' spokeswoman, Nathalie Moar, said Combs was insulted by the suit, believed that the support matter was resolved a month ago and ``is appalled by Ms. Porter's lawyer's underhanded tactics.''
In March, Bracker said her client would sue Combs because he refused to give her a set monthly child support amount. Bracker noted that Combs has several lawsuits pending against him relating to a nightclub shooting and that his money could be depleted by court judgments. Combs was acquitted of gun and bribery charges in the 1999 Club New York case.
Combs has another son, Justin, 6, by hip-hop fashion stylist Misa Hylton-Brim of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. Combs, the head of Bad Boy Entertainment and his own clothing line, reportedly pays Hylton-Brim $5,000 a month as child support.
