(Norman-AP) -- Maria Villarroel scored 31 points as Number 23 Oklahoma beat Sam Houston State 79-to-52.

Villarroel went 5-of-9 from the free throw line and had five rebounds Tuesday night. Beky Preston added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Sooners, who led 37-to-26 at halftime.

Alice Johnson scored 19 points and had five rebounds, while Kelley Kramer scored 11 points for Sam Houston State.

The Sooners are 2-and-1. Sam Houston State is 1-and-2.
