(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Keating has signed legislation providing emergency funding the state Corrections Department.

Legislators meeting in special session on Monday appropriated $9.8-million to help the department avoid furloughs of employees.

State agencies have had to cut budgets twice since the start of the fiscal year on July 1st.

State finance officials say next fiscal year could be worse.
