A Tulsa church honored its pastor for 45 years of service over the weekend.

Dr G Calvin McCutchen and his wife Adelene have served at Mount Zion Baptist church since 1957. The reverend says he's proud to have been there for so long. "The joys have outweighed the sorrows, and I'm thankful to be able to be the minister of a wonderful people.â€

In addition to his work at Mount Zion, Dr McCutchen is also the author of several publications - including a weekly column in The Oklahoma Eagle.
