On Monday, our nations veterans will be remembered for their service and sacrifice. One Tulsa group is celebrating early.
They're hosting "Celebrate Freedom Day" Saturday with one of the main attractions being a B-24 Liberator, one of only two still airworthy. The plane is named "Diamond Lil" and was used all over the world during different wars.
Jim Gentry, maintenance officer: "It has a unique wing to it and it flies farther, faster, higher and carries more bomb load than a B-17 did."
There are events all day Saturday at Jones Riverside Airport, ending with a hangar dance in a World War II theme.
The money raised from the events will be used to finish the airplane, and continue other restoration projects.
