One group is hoping to bring business - and lots of it to Green Country.

Many country stars take part in Chippewa Valley Music Festival, which is usually in Wisconsin. Now the group has announced plans to create the Pryor Creek Music Festival.

It's purchased 400 acres to build a concert venue in Mayes County. The new facility plans to be ready by June to bring a four-day country concert series here to our area. There will be five separate stages. Campsites and restroom facilities. And several other amenities that aren't already in the area.

General manager, Mike Asher, "After looking around through different states, we felt there was a real need for it in this area. Great population, really nothing in this area so we though it would be a great area.â€

Performers for next summer's festival have been contacted. They hope to sign them to official contracts over the next few weeks.
