(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The late US Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota, who died in a plane crash Friday, is a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater.

Wellstone was inducted into the hall last year.

Officials say Wellstone was killed along with his wife, a daughter and five others Friday morning when his small charted plane crashed in northern Minnesota.

Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe said in an interview with an Oklahoma City radio station he is shocked by Wellstone's death.

Inhofe, a conservative Republican, says the Democrat Wellstone is one of two liberals he truly respected, the other being retired U-S Senator Patrick Moynihan.
