The city of Tulsa is considering raising rental fees for some park facilities.
A special subcommittee met Tuesday and asked that the fee increase be put on the Thursday's city council agenda. The proposed changes cover general park facility rentals, such as outside sports fields, equipment, pools, shelters, community center rooms and more.
When compared to other cities our size, Tulsa’s fees are below average.
Mary Ann Summerfield with Tulsa Parks, "We haven't raised fees in the city of Tulsa in a long time. So this may look like a jump from what we have, but when you consider the time that's past, it really isn't much of a jump."
The public will get a chance to comment on the fee changes at Thursday's city council meeting.
