A railroad crossing controversy in West Tulsa is over and residents living near the tracks are celebrating.
Sand Springs Railway wanted to close seven crossings but a Corporation Commission committee denied their request.
The railroad appealed to the full commission but it ruled Friday they should stay open.
Residents said closing the crossings would have made their neighborhoods unsafe.
