(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The fight between two men claiming to be chief of the Seminole Nation is intensifying.
The administration of Chief Ken Chambers says it will investigate alleged corruption and illegal use of federal funds by Chief Jerry Haney.
The investigation comes about one week before a federal judge is expected to decide whether Chambers or Haney is the rightful chief.
Haney says the investigation is an effort to ruin his reputation before the judge's decision.
Chambers was elected chief over Haney, but the Bureau of Indian Affairs doesn't recognize Chambers as chief because black members of the tribe weren't allowed to vote in the election.
