Trees in Oklahoma are falling prey to webworms. The OSU-Extension office says webworms normally love pecan and walnut trees, but are showing up just about everywhere.
They’re next to impossible to prevent because moths lay the eggs that become the webworms and their appearance is actually worse than the damage they cause.
But, if you want to get rid of those pesky critters invading your trees, you have a couple of options. You can spray bleach and water into the web, or use an insecticide like Sevin or Orthene.
Just a reminder, you must penetrate the web to kill the worms.
