Labor Day weekend is the deadliest holiday weekend of the year because of heavy hihgway travel.

AAA of Oklahoma expects large numbers of travelers again this year. About 11 percent of us will take some type of trip.

The good news though is that according to a new study out of the University of Oklahoma seat belt usage is at an all-time high.

Seventy-one percent of drivers and front seat passengers are using safety belts..

But there's also bad news, only 58 percent of people in pick-ups buckle up.

Law enforcement agencies are teaming up throughout the holiday weekend to watch the roads for aggressive driving and seatbelt use.
