A Tulsa Police officer is recovering after he's hit by a speeding pick-up truck.

Police say around 9:15 Tuesday night, a speeding pickup slammed into the officerâ€™s patrol car at about 2000 North Cincinnati. The impact knocked the cruiser off the road.

Officer Jason Wheeler suffered a minor concussion, hand injury and cuts from broken glass. Wheeler was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspect took off on foot after the crash. Police arrested Jackie West just a few blocks away. West faces a variety of charges, including leaving the scene of an accident, driving under suspension and more.
