For Tulsa motorists who travel 71st Street near Garnett, orange barrels have become an all-to-familiar sight.

But there's light at the end of the orange barrel tunnel. City officials say the intersection will be completely open early next week. That's good news for businesses in the area.

The Kenosha Corner Shopping Center is celebrating the road completion. This whole month, there's live music every Thursday night and special sales events every Saturday.

The expansion is part of a sales tax extension approved by voters in 2000.
