(Lincoln, Nebraska-AP) -- Oklahoma State will play Nebraska a little earlier next year.

The Cornhuskers moved up their game against Oklahoma from October 4th to August 30th.

The game will be the first time Nebraska has opened its season against a conference team since the two faced off in 1995.

Nebraska shuffled its schedule to fit San Jose State into its football schedule.

The change also gives the team a week off before their final seven conference games.

San Jose gives the Cornhuskers four non-conference games. Utah State, Penn State and Southern Mississippi are also in their schedule.
