(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Big 12 sports writers and broadcasters have picked Oklahoma to win the Big 12 South football title this year.
Oklahoma State is picked to finish fifth, behind OU, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas AM.
The media picked five players from Oklahoma for its all-conference team. Defensive tackle Tommie Harris was named defensive player of the year.
Also on the All-Big 12 team are tight end Trent Smith, linebacker Teddy Lehman, and defensive backs Andre Woolfolk and Derrick Strait.
Sooner linebacker Lance Mitchell, a junior college transfer, was chosen newcomer of the year.
Oklahoma State receiver Rashaun Woods and placekicker Luke Phillips also made the all-conference team.
