(Norman-AP) -- University of Oklahoma officials say they've sold about 65,000 season tickets for the upcoming football season.

The school's ticket manager says 7,000 people are on a waiting list.

Thanks to a 98% season ticket renewal rate, only 587 season tickets were available through non-renewal.

Officials say once the stadium expansion is complete, the school will better be able to accommodate the high demand for seats.
