WASHINGTON (AP) _ A San Diego company is recalling 117,000 juicers that may break, causing injuries from metal and plastic pieces.
Aroma Housewares Co. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced jointly Thursday that two people had suffered minor injuries when the lid and filter of their juicers broke.
The company recalled 40,000 juicers in 1999 after receiving 32 reports of injuries, including seven people who needed stitches.
The model ACJ-250 juicers were sold in department and discount specialty stores from March 1996 through July. They have a metal filter, are made of white or clear plastic and have the word ``Aroma'' on front. The model number is printed on the bottom of the juicer.
