LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Sharon Osbourne, wife of British rocker Ozzy Osbourne, and star of the MTV reality show, ``The Osbournes,'' is set to undergo surgery Wednesday for a treatable cancer, her publicist announced.

Sharon Osbourne ``is expected to make a full recovery,'' according to a news release from Susan Blond Inc. in Los Angeles. ``She has the loving support of her husband and three children who are by her side at this time.''

Family spokeswoman Lisa Vega would not identify what type of cancer Osbourne has or where the surgery would take place.

``I spoke with Sharon today, and she seemed to be in good spirits. The doctors are very, very positive about the outcome,'' Vega told CNN.

``The Osbournes'' follows the lives of Ozzy, Sharon and two of their three children, daughter Kelly and son Jack, and their Australian nanny. It has become one of the most popular shows on the music cable station.

Because of the surgery, the first two dates of Osbourne's summer music tour, Ozzfest 2002, in Bristol, Va., and Pittsburgh, have been postponed.
