(Bartlesville-AP) -- A Bartlesville man accused of raping and beating his 14-year-old step-daughter is being held in the Washington County Jail on 100-thousand dollars bond.

Gary Leroy Page is jailed on complaints of rape, child abuse, lewd acts against a child and resisting arrest.

The girl told police Page raped and fondled her several times since she was 7, and that he beat her with a broom handle because she wouldn't clean the kitchen.

Police say the girl had injuries to her arms and legs and they found a broken broom handle in a trash can.
