(Bartlesville-AP) -- A Bartlesville teacher will join the National Teachers Hall of Fame next month in Washington D-C.
Mitsuye Hamada Conover and nine other educators from around the country will be honored by U-S Education Secretary Rod Paige. First lady Laura Bush has also been invited to the ceremony.
Conover teaches social studies and English at Bartlesville High School. She spent the first three years of her life in a World War Two internment camp in California.
Today she teaches through plays and by portraying historical characters in costume. Her classroom is a miniature museum of historical documents, money, clothing, newspapers, sheet music and other artifacts.
