The National Red Cross has called on several Chapters throughout the United States to help victims and firefighters in Arizona.
Two workers from Tulsa's Red Cross chapter are answering the call. Steven Bond and Ava Benge are on their way to Arizona. The two will work with other Oklahoma Chapters to provide food, water and supplies to firefighters and displaced residents.
And they'll take those supplies right to those who are affected in an Emergency Response Vehicle. Steven Bond: “It's got a feeding window in it. We can go from point to point and pretty much cover a large area, which allows firefighters to stay at their post. Whenever they need them for a large disaster they just mobilize them and set up and tell us where to go and when."
