MANASQUAN, N.J. (AP) _ Four people are missing after their boat disappeared off the New Jersey coast during a shark-fishing expedition.

The four men have been missing since Saturday. Using helicopters, airplanes and boats, the U.S. Coast Guard searched for their boat again Monday, with no success.

The four men were identified as Bob Hammond, 59, and Bob Hammond Jr., 35, both of Oceanside, N.Y.; Bob Wright, 42, of Island Park, N.Y.; and Peter Quinn, 35. Their boat, the Eleni II, was reported overdue about 10 p.m. Saturday by friends.

The boat was last heard from 12 miles south of Jones Beach, N.Y., while participating in the Freeport Hudson Anglers Shark Tournament.

A mayday call was received at 9 a.m. Saturday, but searchers were unable to locate the boat that made the call or determine the nature of the distress call. The Coast Guard launched another search after tournament organizers reported the vessel overdue.
