One lane of westbound I-44 here in Tulsa was closed much of the day because of a gaping pothole in the highway 169 bridge.

The pothole ate through the bridge so drivers could actually see down to I-44 below. Debris from the bridge was falling onto the Interstate.

Officials plan to rebuild the bridge this summer as part of a project to widen that stretch of highway to six lanes.
