A Tulsa mother has advice for all parents, learn CPR.
JoAnna Carringer took a CPR class several years ago. She never had to use it until recently, when her 16-month old son was found face down in an inflatable wading pool. "He was bright blue in the face and I couldn't think what to do, so I just started shaking him, trying to get him to respond to me, but, he wouldn't respond."
Carringer says she wasn't sure what to do, but, she breathed into Collin's mouth and pushed on his chest and he was starting to come around when rescuers arrived.
Parents can take a free two-hour CPR course at Tulsa parks each Saturday in June. If you'd like to participate in one of the "Save-A-Life Saturdays" you can call 596-3600 to pre-register.
