A Green Country woman is in the hospital as well following an accident early Thursday.

The woman was westbound on 156th Street North when she lost control. Authorities say the driver was apparently going too fast. Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Jeremiah Hoit, â€œShe ran off the right side of the roadway, she over corrected and came back off the left side of the roadway, hit a culvert, went airborne and struck a tree approximately about 14 feet up in the air.â€

The vehicle partially landed on top of the woman. She was taken by helicopter to the hospital, her condition isn't known and her name hasn't been released.

The woman told emergency crews she swerved to avoid a skunk.
