WASHINGTON (AP) _ A New York company is recalling packages of its Balducci's Golden Raisins because they contain sulfites not listed on the label, which could pose a life-threatening risk to people allergic to sulfites
Recalled are 11-ounce packages of the raisins marked with UPC code .5499606819. They were sold in Balducci's and Sutton Place Gourmet stores in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as in Hay Day stores in New York and Connecticut.
Balducci's said its packaging company mistakenly put raisins containing sulfites into containers that didn't list the ingredient.
No illnesses have been reported.
Consumers may return the recalled raisins to the store of purchase for a refund, or contact Balducci's at 1-301-968-0601.
