A standoff with police ends with one person behind bars. Tulsa Police responded to a disturbance call around eight-thirty in the 1900 block of West Easton Court.
As they arrived, several people ran off. Officers went after them, one wound up barricading himself inside a woman's home about a block away. Over several hours, police shot several tear gas canisters into the home to draw him out, but it didn't work at first.
Tulsa Police Captain Jim Hunter, "Unfortunately he was very uncooperative refused to come out, and uh was able to tolerate the effects of the gas." Police did make entry into the bedroom and took him into custody without any incident or injury to him.
Police found no weapons. The suspect faces a variety of charges, including threatening officers and first degree burglar.
