It was a busy Friday morning for Tulsa area law enforcement. Authorities worked two separate homicides. One was about Main and Zion in North Tulsa. Police were called out around 3:30 to investigate a report of a suspicious car. When they got there, they found a man dead. Tulsa Police Captain Larry Kinney says "Looked up in the yard of an abandoned house and found a subject there had been shot in the head, he is deceased. At this time we haven't developed any witnesses, we're doing a canvass of the area." Kinney says they have few clues to work with. The victim is a black male in his 30's. His name hasn't been released. Kinney says about an hour before this call, officers at a traffic stop, blocks away, heard a gunshot. They drove an area further South to check it out, but found nothing.
Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputies also worked a homicide Friday morning. Deputies were called to a house at 9001 North Yale around 12:30 AM. Investigators say an apparent domestic dispute led to a shooting, that left one man dead. Sgt. Sherri Carrier says "One victim who was deceased at the scene. A suspect was taken into custody without incident." Officials aren't saying much about the case, but have said the victim and suspect were brothers. No names have been released.
