Investigators returned to the site of an experimental plane crash Thursday morning in East Tulsa. The plane went down in a field near 153rd East Avenue and Admiral Place Wednesday night. Earl Bitinger was headed home to Jenks from Collinsville in his brand new plane when he started having trouble. Tulsa Police officer David Shelby says the pilot tried to make it to the airport to land, but lost power before he could get there. "As he turned to try to come into the wind he lost all power completely, nosed into the field and flipped the aircraft over on its side." Bitinger wasn't seriously injured.
