(Great Bend, Kansas-AP) -- One of the top junior college basketball players in the nation is expected to sign with Oklahoma.
Ebi Ere first signed with the Sooners two years ago following his high school career at Tulsa McClain but failed to meet academic requirements. Ere played the past two seasons at Barton County Community College in Kansas.
The six-foot-five inch Ere averaged 25-and-a-half points and more than seven-and-a-half rebounds per game last season. He also hit more than 35 percent of his three-point attempts and 84 percent from the free-throw line.
An official announcement is anticipated, pending arrival of Ere's paperwork.
