COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) _ Oklahoma State reliever Nick McCurdy allowed just one hit in the final 2.2 innings to lead the Cowboys past Texas A&M on Friday night.
McCurdy replaced OSU starter Josh Merrigan with one out in the seventh and struck out four.
Oklahoma State (31-12, 11-8 Big 12) scored a run in the top of the first on an RBI ground out to second that scored Rob Watson, who singled to start the inning. Watson moved to third on Nebasett Brown's double off the right-center field wall.
The Cowboys extended their lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the second, courtesy of five hits off Texas A&M starter Justin Moore. The big blow of the inning was a two-out, two-run home run by Watson.
Watson hit the game's only homer to help Oklahoma State to the victory over Texas A&M (24-19, 9-10).
Merrigan (6-4) pitched just over six innings and was credited with the win. Moore (5-2) was tagged with the loss.
