(Dallas-AP) -- Dallas-based Blockbuster and Fort Worth-based RadioShack are joining forces on a campaign to put a RadioShack ``store within a store'' inside Blockbuster video stores.

The first phase of the campaign will begin this summer in about 130 selected Blockbuster stores in Las Vegas; Austin, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and Norfolk, Virginia.

The second phase will extend the concept to the rest of Blockbuster's stores next year.

The companies say the idea is to create a full-service home entertainment destination within Blockbuster, while increasing RadioShack's reach to more consumers.

Blockbuster chairman and C-E-O John Antioco says the plan combines Blockbuster's domestic customer base of 48 (M) account holders with RadioShack's products and sales expertise.

RadioShack chairman and C-E-O Leonard Roberts says RadioShack merchandise will be put in as many of Blockbuster's five-thousand U-S stores as possible.
