(Claremore-AP) -- Claremore police are looking for a man who kidnapped an 11-year-old boy from Central Upper Elementary School in Claremore.

The boy managed to escape uninjured by jumping from his kidnapper's pickup truck.

Police say the boy was abducted from behind the school Monday morning as he walked to band class. The boy told police a man with a weapon ordered him to keep quiet or he would be killed.

The boy was able to jump out of the truck when his abductor pulled onto the shoulder of Oklahoma 66 between Verdigris and Catoosa's twin bridges.

The man is described as white, slim, about six-feet-tall with dark brown shoulder-length hair worn in a ponytail and a tattoo on his right arm.

His truck is a red, full-size pickup with damage to the front grill and dents on the hood.
