(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa ex-convict is headed back to prison after not paying for a 99vcent beer.

Scott DuBose was sentenced today after pleading guilty to stealing a bottle of beer from a Homeland store last month.

The charge was filed as a felony because of DuBose's record.

He's been sent to prison twice in the past six years for unrelated Tulsa County offenses.

Assistant District Attorney Michelle Keely says DuBose obviously knew better, but hasn't learned his lesson.

If the charge had been filed as a misdemeanor, DuBose faced a term of up to six months in jail.
