CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami coach Larry Coker began filling out his staff Friday, promoting tight ends coach Rob Chudzinski to offensive coordinator.
At 32, he becomes one of the youngest offensive coordinators in the country.
Chudzinski spent the last five years as Miami's tight ends coach. He was one of seven assistants who remained at Miami after Butch Davis abruptly left to coach the Cleveland Browns.
He takes over an offense that should be one of the best in the country next season. Miami, 11-1 last season, returns six starters on offense, including quarterback Ken Dorsey and four offensive linemen.
