SEATTLE (AP) — Seattle SuperSonics forward Vin Baker was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for dizziness after Wednesday night's game in Los Angeles, general manager Wally Walker said.

The News Tribune of Tacoma reported that paramedics detected an irregular heartbeat when they examined him in the locker room. Baker stayed behind for further tests as the team traveled to Oakland for Friday's game against Golden State.

Walker said Thursday he had not heard from doctors and could not confirm an irregular heartbeat. More information would be available later in the day, he said.

Baker scored 17 of his 18 points during the second quarter of the 114-110 overtime win over the Clippers. He left with 5:21 to play in the fourth quarter.

Baker was to rejoin the team Thursday if cleared by doctors.

``We are definitely concerned about it,'' coach Nate McMillan told The News Tribune. ``It's scary.''
