(Norman-AP) -- Recruiting efforts in Texas are starting to pay off for Oklahoma.

O-U has received commitments from Texas defensive prep stars Tommie Harris and Jonathan Jackson.

Harris is a 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle who is rated the nation's Number One prospect by Rivals100.com. Also a PrepStar Dream Team member, Harris piled up 70 solo tackles and nine sacks as a senior.

Harris had also considered the University of Texas, Texas A-and-M, Florida State and Miami.

Jackson is a 6-foot-4, 220-pound defensive end. Rivals rates him as the Number Seven defensive end in the nation.

Jackson played outside linebacker in high school, finishing with more than 100 tackles and 17 sacks.

He picked the Sooners over Texas, Texas A-and-M, Notre Dame and Tennessee.
