(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma's labor commissioner is turning down a chance to go to Washington.
Brenda Reneau Wynn says a member of the Bush administration urged her to apply for an assistant labor secretary position in Washington, but she has decided not to.
She says she sent the Bush team a letter Monday withdrawing her name from consideration. In December, she asked to be considered for the position.
Reneau Wynn says she DID consider the offer to apply for a few days, but that she has come to realize her calling is at the state level.
Reneau Wynn announced on December 12th that she will campaign for lieutenant governor in two years when Mary Fallin's term is up.
