(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma conservatives plan to show their support for President-elect Bush's nominee for attorney general during a rally tomorrow in Missouri.

The Republican leaders say they're answering a call for a national show of support for former U-S Senator John Ashcroft. Bush chose the Missourian instead of Governor Keating.

Ashcroft is being criticized nationally for being too conservative. Unlike Bush, he opposes abortion even in cases of rape or incest.

His supporters say Ashcroft will enforce the law regardless of his personal views.

Ashcroft's Oklahoma supporters are invited to the noon rally on the steps of the Green County Courthouse in Springfield, Missouri.

The event is sponsored by the Oklahoma Conservative Committee.
