(Westville-AP) -- A 25-year-old Westville man who is accused in a year-old murder case has been denied bail after allegedly shooting a woman several times Saturday.

Bronson Lowe was out on bail on a murder charge when he was arrested late Saturday on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

His alleged victim is 36-year-old Donna Clinton. Authorities say she was found by a hunter in the woods just after dark Saturday night, where Lowe left her.

She was listed in critical condition at a hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Lowe is being held in the Adair County jail.

Authorities say they recovered a pistol allegedly used in the shootings.

Lowe still faces a murder charge related to the Christmas 1999 shooting death of Monty Rowland of Stilwell.
