(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Tulsa World and K-O-T-V in Tulsa are trying to obtain court records for an Oilton teen-ager who is charged with murder and rape.

The newspaper and television station want the state Supreme Court to release information about 19-year-old Robert Wayne Rotramel. He is charged with murder in the killing of 7-year-old Kristi Blevens and the rape of her 12-year-old friend.

The news organizations are asking the Supreme Court to say a lower court erred by not opening the records. They also want the court to force a judge to release the full juvenile court records regarding Rotramel.

Juvenile records are normally closed.

Lawyers for the news agencies met with a Supreme Court referee today.
