LOS ANGELES (AP) â€” Fifty years after his hit ``I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts,'' Merv Griffin is releasing a new album.

Griffin's ``It's Like a Dream'' will be released March 15 by Pat Boone's Gold Label, which is geared for the over-50 crowd.

After years of hosting his own Emmy Award-winning TV talk show, Griffin moved into hotel ownership. After acquiring the Beverly Hilton in 1987, he bought others, including one attached to the Givenchy Spa in Palm Springs.

``A hotel is a talk show with rooms,'' Griffin said.

He also created several television game shows, including ``Wheel of Fortune.''

Discovered by Doris Day, Griffin started his music career in his native San Francisco, becoming a boy singer with the Freddy Martin band, which toured the country and appeared in movies.

The new Griffin CD features 10 selections, including ``My Funny Valentine,'' ``The More I See You'' and ``You Stepped Out of a Dream.''
