(Norman-AP) -- Boomer, Sooner and the schooner the two horses pull at Oklahoma football games may not be able to travel to the Orange Bowl.

The O-U spirit club the Ruf-Neks will travel to Miami, but there may not be room on the sideline for the schooner.

O-U athletic development coordinator Matt Trantham says there may not be enough room on the sideline because of the bowl's elaborate half-time show. He says if the schooner is not allowed at the game then the Florida State mascot of Chief Osceola and his horse will also be kept away.

Trantham says the Ruf-Neks and their shotguns will be on hand to help celebrate each Sooner score.
