(Honolulu-AP) -- There's no lack of interest in the baseball coaching vacancy-to-be at the University of Hawaii.
With the deadline extended to December 15th, athletic director Hugh Yoshida says he expects the number will continue to increase.
The extension will also give the university an opportunity to post an updated and more generalized version of the original advertisement on the N-C-A-A Web site.
Coach Les Murakami, who continues to recover from a stroke, announced last May he would retire after the 2001 season.
Yoshida said a screening committee would meet to narrow the field.
